Our government needs to have a strong diplomatic stance. Stability in the Gulf is not just their problem, it's ours too. Millions of Indians work there and our energy security is at stake.

While the attacks are condemnable, I hope our media reports this with balance. The article mentions the UN resolution calling for a halt to attacks. The solution has to be diplomatic, not more military action.

The immediate concern is for the safety of all civilians and workers, including the large Indian diaspora in these refineries. Thankfully no casualties reported so far. The focus should be on protecting innocent lives.

This is why India's push for renewable energy and strategic oil reserves is so important. We cannot be held hostage by volatility in one region. Time to double down on Atmanirbhar Bharat in energy.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint. If navigation is threatened, it will be a disaster for global trade, not just oil. India must work with all regional players to ensure freedom of navigation.
