This is inspiring, but I think we also need to focus on making these schools more accessible to students from economically weaker backgrounds. Not everyone can afford the fees, and we're missing out on talent from rural areas. Merit should be the only criterion.
True that! Sainik Schools instil the right values—discipline, leadership, and service. As India aims for Viksit Bharat by 2047, we need such institutions to produce not just soldiers but responsible citizens. Operation Sindoor was a shining example of their training.
It's heartening to see alumni from Sainik School Rewa reaching such high positions. But let's not forget that there are 33 Sainik Schools across India—each one churning out gems. The government should expand this network further, especially in border states.
Lovely to read this! My cousin studied at Sainik School Bijapur and he's now in the Navy. The transformation in his personality is remarkable—confidence, punctuality, and a sense of duty. These schools truly shape character from a young age.
The Governor's point about Viksit Bharat is spot on. However, I wish more civilians also understood the importance of such training. Not everyone needs to join the forces, but the character building and discipline are invaluable for any profession. Kudos to Sainik Schools!
