Asha Bhosle's influence on Indian music is legendary, but it's refreshing to see she also had such diverse taste. Recommended Gipsy Kings to Sachin in 1990 - that shows her global perspective. We need more icons like her. RIP 🙏
Lovely story, but I wish the article mentioned more about Asha ji's monumental contribution to Indian cinema. She recorded over 12,000 songs! Her meeting with Sachin was just a small chapter in her incredible journey. Still, nice to see these personal touches.
The Gipsy Kings were huge in Europe in the 90s! Asha Tai had such refined taste. But honestly, I'm more surprised that Sachin found time to listen to them amidst his cricket career 😄. Imagine him driving to nets with 'Bamboléo' playing! Pure gold.
As an American, it's fascinating to see how interconnected the world is through music. Sachin and Asha Bhosle - both absolute icons. This story reminds me that great talent recognizes great talent, regardless of genre or geography. Beautiful moment.
The way Sachin describes it as 'circle completed' is so poignant. From a young cricketer getting a CD gift from Didi in 1990, to meeting the band members today as a legend himself. Time flies, but some bonds remain. Miss you, Asha ji ❤️
