The 'PK' actor marked the festival's closing event on July 16 with his presence. During a media interaction, Aamir was asked about the scientist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently on a hunger strike.

He also addressed the long-standing belief that '3 Idiots' was inspired by Sonam Wangchuk.

Aamir was quoted as saying, "I know that I saw a video of Omi Vaidya just recently. He said "Yes." No, he's wrong. "Maybe that's what Chatur was thinking, but I want to tell you that neither Raju [director Rajkumar Hirani] nor Abhijat [writer Joshi] were the two writers, nor I. We didn't know about Mr. Sonam. However, what Mr. Sonam is doing is good work. In any case, he doesn't have to be based on the character of '3 Idiots' for us to respect him and the work that he does."

Honestly, nice to see Saba Pataudi's genuine excitement meeting Aamir. She's always been classy. But yaar, Aamir's clarification about 3 Idiots and Sonam Wangchuk - good that he cleared the air. We don't need to force connections where none exist. Respect for him respecting Sonam's work separately.

Interesting to see this crossover of Bollywood and high society! Saba's pictures look lovely. I respect Aamir for being honest about not knowing Sonam Wangchuk during 3 Idiots - he could have just stayed quiet. Shows integrity.

Aamir Khan's dedication to cinema is legendary. Lagaan at 25 - what a milestone! But I wish the article had more about Saba's own life and work rather than just Aamir's filmography. Still, happy to see her happy. 😊

This is so wholesome! The overlap between royalty and cinema is always fascinating. Saba's caption is heartwarming - "goodness gracious me" indeed! Also appreciate Aamir addressing the Sonam Wangchuk thing directly without being defensive. Class act.

Saba Pataudi is such a graceful personality! Seeing her fangirl over Aamir is cute. But honestly, I hope Bollywood moves beyond these nostalgia pieces. We need new stories, new heroes. Still, nice to see old connections rekindled across continents. ✨
