Roja Selvamani offers prayers at Tirumala temple in traditional saree look
Tirupati, May 21
Actress and former Andhra Pradesh Minister Roja Selvamani visited the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple on Thursday to offer prayers to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
Her visit came amid the steady flow of devotees arriving at the hill shrine, where thousands of pilgrims gather daily to seek blessings at one of the country's most revered temples.
Roja appeared in a vibrant traditional South Indian saree during the visit. The saree featured a thick, contrasting red border adorned with traditional gold zari patterns.
She paired the outfit with a matching bright red short-sleeved blouse that complemented the saree border.
Completing her temple look, Roja wore layered traditional gold jewellery, including a shorter choker-style necklace and a longer gold chain.
She also accessorised with matching heavy gold jhumka earrings.
The Tirumala temple has witnessed several celebrity visits in recent days. Earlier this week, actress Jeevitha and her husband, actor Rajasekhar, offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.
Recently, actor Trisha Krishnan also visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. Dressed in traditional attire, she offered prayers early in the morning and later greeted paparazzi and posed for photographs with fans outside the temple premises.
Situated atop the seventh peak of the Seshachalam Hills, the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is among India's most prominent Hindu shrines.
Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, also known as Balaji, the centuries-old temple attracts millions of devotees from across India and abroad every year.

Honestly, it's good to see celebrities visiting temples and keeping our traditions alive. But I wish the media would also talk about the common devotees who wait hours for darshan, not just celebrities. Still, Roja's dedication is commendable.
Her jewellery set is just wow! The jhumkas and the layered necklaces – pure traditional South Indian elegance. That's how you dress for Lord Venkateswara 🙌
It's nice that celebrities are visiting Tirumala regularly – Trisha, Jeevitha, and now Roja. But let's not forget that the real beauty of Tirupati is the spiritual experience, not the fashion show. Still, Roja looks lovely in that saree. 😊
Roja is a true South Indian beauty – that saree, those gold jewels, the entire look is so authentic and respectful. Perfect for Tirumala darshan. May Lord Balaji bless her! 🌸
