Hope this elevation means more focus on making digital payments accessible in rural areas. We still have many villages where basic banking isn't seamless. Singh ji's experience in supervision should help.

Over three decades at RBI and also worked at Central Bank of Oman – looks like a well-rounded profile. But I hope he prioritizes cybersecurity for payment systems. With digital fraud rising, we need strong oversight.

Congratulations to Gunveer Singh! Being a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant is impressive. But I'm curious – why does the article mention his role only in the same department as before? Isn't an ED supposed to have broader portfolio? Bit surprised he's continuing to oversee just DPSS.

Good news for the payment ecosystem! Singh sir's experience in risk monitoring will be crucial as we expand UPI globally. India's digital payment story is a model for the world. 🇮🇳
