Acting on intelligence inputs from the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad, a case has been registered against Gurwinder Singh at Sadar Patti Police Station in Tarn Taran district after pro-Khalistan content was found on platforms linked to him.

Agencies are now expanding the investigation to trace the wider network and identify possible associates linked to the anti-national activities.

The action has been taken under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

Officials said that the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad, while launching a major crackdown on anti-national activities being carried out through social media platforms, had identified a Punjab-based suspect allegedly linked to pro-Khalistan and pro-Pakistan propaganda networks.

The action was taken by the Anti-Terrorism Squad Social Media Monitoring Wing under the direction of Additional Director General of Police Dinesh M.N. and supervision of Inspector General Rajesh Singh.

During surveillance of suspicious online activity led by Inspector Nisha Chavariya, the Anti-Terrorism Squad detected multiple objectionable posts, videos, chats and comments linked to the accused, identified as Gurwinder Singh of Punjab.

An Anti-Terrorism Squad team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh was dispatched to Punjab for investigation.

Digital analysis reportedly uncovered pro-Khalistan and pro-Pakistan content, along with alleged communication with suspicious individuals and members associated with the banned terror outfit The Resistance Front.

Investigators also recovered chat logs and voice notes allegedly discussing the procurement of AK-47 rifles and grenades for terror activities.

The Anti-Terrorism Squad further claimed that the accused had recorded and shared videos of a restricted Border Security Force location with Pakistan-based handlers.

The probe revealed repeated circulation of Khalistan-supporting content featuring Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of the banned organisation Sikhs for Justice, along with material linked to separatist propaganda and suspected terror planning.

Based on Anti-Terrorism Squad inputs, a case has been registered against Gurwinder Singh at Sadar Patti Police Station in Punjab's Tarn Taran district under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

It's scary how these people use social media to brainwash youth and plan violence. The mention of AK-47 and grenades is alarming. Need stricter monitoring by cyber cells across states, not just Rajasthan. Punjab police should cooperate fully in the investigation.

While national security is paramount, I hope proper legal procedures are followed and evidence is solid. False cases can ruin lives. But if this guy is indeed sharing BSF locations with Pakistan handlers, then strict action is needed no doubt.

Haan yaar, there are always some bad actors in every community. Punjab police should handle this sensitively but firmly. Pro-Khalistan propaganda is dangerous and we've seen what happened in the 80s and 90s. Time to cut this at the root. 🛡️

Intriguing how online activity leads to offline threats. The cross-border coordination and attempts to procure weapons suggest a sophisticated network. Good on Rajasthan ATS for proactive monitoring. Hope Punjab authorities follow through effectively.

Sharing BSF locations with Pak handlers is treason, pure and simple. These people don't deserve leniency. But we also need to address the root causes - why are some youth getting radicalised? Better education and awareness needed alongside strict policing.
