Wonderful news! It's heartening to see such events being promoted. A 5KM run is perfect for beginners and families. Maybe next time they could include a 2KM fun walk for senior citizens and children? More inclusive categories would encourage even wider participation. Still, a great step forward for public health.

T-Shirt No. 1 for the Governor is a nice symbolic gesture. But I hope the focus remains on the athletes and the sport itself. The real heroes will be the ones running the full 42KM! Best of luck to all participants. Chandigarh's wide roads are perfect for a marathon.

As someone who has run marathons in other countries, I'm thrilled to see Chandigarh launching an international event. The timing is perfect with the pleasant weather. Hope the logistics and support for runners (water stations, medical aid) are world-class. This could become a major event on the running calendar.

My husband and I have already registered for the 10KM! It's so motivating to know the Governor and his wife are also participating. Events like these really build community spirit. Just hoping the roads are properly closed for the duration. Last year's cyclothon had some traffic management issues.

A respectful suggestion: While the Governor's participation is commendable, I hope the administration ensures this doesn't become just a VIP event with excessive security disrupting the run for common citizens. The focus should be on sports and fitness for all, without barriers. The theme of resilience is fitting for every runner on the ground.
