Indian Diaspora in Paris Overjoyed as PM Modi, Macron Launch 'Bharat Innovates'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris to a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora. A scientist from the diaspora expressed pride in the joint inauguration of 'Bharat Innovates 2026' by PM Modi and President Macron. Pratik, a diaspora member, announced the opening of the first Hindu temple in Paris this September. PM Modi praised the diaspora's role in strengthening the India-France partnership.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Paris, the Indian diaspora overcame with joy and pride.

A member of the Indian diaspora told ANI, "I am a scientist and I feel very proud that 'Bharat Innovates 2026' was jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron."

Pratik, a member of the Indian diaspora, told ANI that he was associated with the BAPS Swaminarayan temple which is going to be opened in September this year.

He said, "I am associated with the BAPS Swaminarayan temple which is going to be opened in September this year, first Hindu temple in Paris...We have invited Modi ji as well, we have invited the people of entire India as well."

Biren Shah, President of the India France Association said, "We are very glad to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi here in Paris and he is making all of us very proud."

PM Modi appreciated the efforts by Indian diaspora's efforts to bring both nations together.

In a post on X, he said, "I arrived in Paris just a short while ago, where I was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora. I am proud of their efforts to bring India and France closer together. The India-France partnership is essential to the progress of our planet."

PM Modi arrived in Paris earlier in the day for the final leg of his visit to France.

Upon his arrival in the French capital, Prime Minister Modi received a warm welcome from members of the Indian community gathered at his hotel. Enthusiastic supporters greeted the Prime Minister with cheers and expressions of support as he began his engagements in Paris.

The Prime Minister's visit comes after his participation in the G7 Summit in Evian, where he held a series of meetings and discussions on key global issues, including governance, artificial intelligence (AI) and cooperation with the Global South.
