Priority is to maximum convenience and facilities at Ram temple: Trustee Madan Mohan Pandey

Newly appointed member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Madan Mohan Pandey expressed gratitude to the temple authorities for bestowing him with an opportunity to serve the Lord and its Ayodhya abode. Outlining his responsibility in the new role, the Trust member said that the first and foremost priority for him is to provide convenience and facilities for all the devotees at the temple.
The Ram Temple Trust on Wednesday appointed Air Marshal (Retd) Jeetendra Mishra as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the temple body. It also elevated Swami Govind Dev Giri as the General Secretary and appointed Mahesh Bhagchandka, Madan Mohan Pandey, and Nirmala Yadav as the new trustees, filling three vacant positions within the temple body.
Speaking to IANS a day after his appointment, Pandey said: "Our priority will be to look after the convenience of devotees who come to offer prayers at the temple."
"After being inducted into the Trust, we will work towards the upliftment of the Ram Temple, as much as possible," he added.
Madan Mohan Pandey, an advocate by profession, recalled that he has been associated with the Ram Janmbhoomi movement from the beginning itself.
He said: "I have been associated with this struggle from the very beginning, but the actual 'vakalatnama' was filed in 1994, on behalf of Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das. Later, I kept appearing in the High Court and Supreme Court on behalf of the legal team for Ram Lalla Virajman."
"Finally the Supreme Court delivered the verdict in our favour," he added.
Meanwhile, upon his arrival in Ayodhya on Thursday, newly appointed CEO of the Ram Temple Trust, Air Marshal (Retd) Jeetendra Mishra said he was grateful for the opportunity to serve Lord Ram and contribute to the administration and organisation of the temple.
Speaking to reporters, Mishra said he would need some time to formally take over the new responsibility before sharing his detailed plans for the temple administration.
"I have reached Ayodhya for the first time after being given this responsibility. Give me some time to take over. I will share the complete plan with you... I have already said that I am thankful to the selection committee, the trust and Lord Ram's blessings," he said.
The former IAF officer, who had served during Operation Sindoor, added: "My heart is filled with gratitude. I consider myself the most fortunate person today to have been given this responsibility twice in my life, once to serve the nation and now to serve Lord Ram, the temple and its devotees through its organisation and administration."
