"India has lost a musical icon" - President Murmur's words are so true. Janaki Amma sang in nearly 20 languages, that's incredible versatility. From Hindi to Tulu, she could make any song her own. What a legacy she leaves behind.

Deeply saddened to learn about S Janaki's passing. As someone who loves classic Indian music, her songs in films like "Chandralekha" and "Punnagai Mannan" are timeless. A legend who bridged regional and national music. May her soul rest in peace.

I wish more people in North India knew about her contributions. She sang in over 19 languages but her Telugu and Tamil songs are masterpieces. The government should do more to honor such iconic artists while they're still alive. We lose too many legends without proper recognition. 🙏🎶

Such a profound loss for Indian music. S Janaki's voice defined an era of Indian cinema. I remember listening to her duets with SP Balasubrahmanyam - they were magic together. 88 years of life well lived, but still heartbreaking. 🎭

Truly an irreparable loss. Her contribution to Indian cinema and music is immeasurable. But I feel the media and government often ignore legends from South India until they pass away. We need to celebrate our cultural icons more actively while they are alive. Still, may her soul rest in peace. 🏵️
