Well deserved! While we celebrate the awards, I hope the government also ensures better equipment and infrastructure for our Coast Guard personnel. They often work with limited resources compared to the threats they face from smuggling, illegal fishing, and other maritime challenges.

Seeing names like P/Nvk (ME) Saumyaranjan Behera and P/Nvk (RP) Gautam Yadav getting the Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak and Tatrakshak Medal is so motivating. It shows that every role, from mechanics to radio personnel, is crucial for national security. Salute!

This is the real news that should be on the front page. While we argue about politics, these men and women are out there on the high seas, in all weather, keeping us safe. A big thank you to the Indian Coast Guard. Your service is our pride.

As someone who follows maritime security, this is significant. The Coast Guard's role in the Indian Ocean Region is becoming more critical by the day. Recognizing this service publicly boosts morale and highlights the importance of maritime boundaries, which often get less attention than land borders.
