Mumbai, August 8

Actress Prajaktta Mali has announced that she is embracing a vegan lifestyle, further clarifying that the decision stems from health concerns rather than personal choice.

Sharing a series of smiling pictures from her visit to the holy Shree Siddhivinayak Temple and Aai Taljai Mata Temple, the actress revealed that she sought the deities' blessings before taking the significant step.

Prajaktta further explained that the decision was "not by choice, but by compulsion."

"My body started rejecting milk and milk products, causing constant cough," she shared, adding that she may soon bid farewell to tea and coffee as well.

In our culture, milk and ghee are considered essential for health, and now we see young people avoiding them. But if her body is genuinely rejecting dairy, it's a valid medical concern. Still, I hope she consults with an ayurvedic doctor too - our traditional medicine might have solutions for her cough that don't require giving up milk entirely.

"Cruelty-free except for liars and ditchers" 😂😂 That line is pure gold! Love her sense of humor. But on a serious note, going vegan in India where dairy is so deeply embedded in our food culture must be really challenging. Respect for making that tough call for her health.

It's interesting that she mentioned 'Tamasik' things - that's a very Ayurvedic concept. Maybe her body is naturally leaning towards a sattvic diet. I'm not vegan myself, but I've reduced dairy and it helps with my sinus issues. More people should listen to what their bodies are telling them instead of blindly following food habits.

जय सिद्धिविनायक! 🙏 Good decision if it's for health. But I do wonder - why visit temples for blessings to go vegan? Not criticizing, just curious. Anyway, best wishes to her. Marathi entertainment industry needs more conscious, health-aware role models for the youth.

This is a sensible approach - she's not doing it to look cool or follow a foreign trend, she's doing it because her body is telling her something. I hope more people understand that veganism isn't just about animals (though that's important too) - it's about individual
