Good to see focus on trade and investment. Hope the agreements lead to more job creation in manufacturing and tech sectors here. The rupee-rouble trade mechanism needs to be smoother though.

While I understand the geopolitical necessity, we must be cautious. Over-reliance on any single country for energy or defence isn't wise in the long run. Our diplomacy should ensure we don't get caught in a binary choice between West and Russia.

Interesting to follow from abroad. India's balanced foreign policy is a case study. Engaging with Russia while strengthening ties with the US and EU shows real strategic autonomy.

Hope the "industrial cooperation" includes transfer of technology and joint ventures in India. We need to move beyond just buying and become co-developers, especially in defence and energy sectors. Make in India should be a key part of this.

The Russia-India friendship has stood the test of time. From the days of the USSR helping with steel plants to now, it's a trusted partnership. Good to see it evolving with the times, focusing on trade and energy.
