PM Modi, Japan PM hold talks on full spectrum of India-Japan ties at 16th India-Japan Annual Summit

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held wide-ranging talks on the full spectrum of India-Japan ties during the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit.
Both leaders witnessed the exchange of key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements spanning Economic Security, Clean Energy, critical technologies and research and development.
In a post on X, the Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal said, "Advancing ties, strengthening bonds: 16th India-Japan Annual Summit. PM Narendra Modi and PM Sanae Takaichi held wide-ranging talks on the full spectrum of India-Japan ties, including trade & investment, economic security, energy, emerging technologies, defence and people-to-people exchanges. They also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest."
Jaiswal added, "The talks delivered concrete progress on key priorities of our bilateral ties. Both sides adopted three landmark documents: Joint Declaration on Economic Security, Joint Statement on Cooperation in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Joint Statement on Energy Resilience. Both leaders witnessed the exchange of key MoUs and agreements spanning Economic Security, Clean Energy, critical technologies and research & development. Both sides agreed on a list of activities for celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishment of Diplomatic Relations."
Earlier in the day, both leaders held bilateral talks at the Hyderabad House.
In a post on X, the MEA said, "Taking forward a partnership anchored in trust, shared values and strategic convergence. PM Narendra Modi warmly received Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan at the Hyderabad House today."
Takaichi was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan earlier.
In a post on X, the MEA said, "Further strengthening our special partnership. PM Sanae Takaichi of Japan was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. A partnership for the future, built on trust and rooted in shared values."
