Phoebe Bridgers to come up with new album 'Lost Weekend'
Los Angeles, June 24
Phoebe Bridgers is all set to come up with her third full-length solo album, 'Lost Weekend'.
The album will be released on August 14. The announcement follows a series of concerts where the singer debuted her first new material in three years, culminating in a phone-free show at New York's Madison Square Garden and the unveiling of a fall tour, as per Variety.
The album represents her first new original material since the release of the Boygenius album in 2023 (her group with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus) and her solo album "Punisher" in 2020. Bridgers took home four trophies at the 2024 Grammy Awards, three for Boygenius and one for "Ghost in the Machine," her collaboration with SZA.

"Phone-free show at Madison Square Garden" – imagine the discipline that takes in 2026! Mad respect for Bridgers creating a space where people actually have to be present. That's such a rare thing in today's world. Also, Isaac Wood opening for her UK shows? Matches made in alt-folk heaven. Wish more artists would do phone-free concerts in India.
I'm genuinely curious – does anyone else feel like artists are over-saturating the market lately? Three nights in Brooklyn, two in LA, two in Toronto... It feels a bit excessive. Plus "Lost Weekend" title is a bit on the nose. But hey, I still love her music and will absolutely be listening day one. Maybe there's a deeper meaning to the album name that I'm missing.
Finally! 😭 Three years felt like an eternity. "Punisher" was the soundtrack of my lockdown life – crying to "Moon Song" while stuck in Mumbai. So excited to hear what she's crafted this time. And Alex G opening for the North American leg?! That's an indie dream lineup. Hoping she adds Mumbai or Bangalore dates someday; we have a huge Gen Z fanbase here who'd go wild.
She's clearly one of the most important songwriters of this generation. Four Grammys in one night is no small feat. But I wish the tour dates were a bit more balanced – 10 shows just in California? Meanwhile, zero Asia stops. Not blaming her as an individual, it's just how the industry works. Still, it stings when you're a fan from the other side of the planet.
