Rohit Sharma still has a better average and more centuries. The record for most caps is about longevity, which Stirling has shown, but Rohit's impact in those 159 games was phenomenal. Proud of our Hitman!

It's great to see Associate nations like Ireland producing such stalwarts. Cricket needs more strong teams outside the traditional big boards. Congrats to Stirling! Though I wish he had celebrated with a big score in that match.

Respect where it's due. Playing 160 T20Is for a smaller cricketing nation involves a lot more travel and probably less glamour. Shows true dedication to the game and your country. Salute!

The article mentions he scored only 8 runs in the match where he broke the record. That's a bit ironic, no? But records are about consistency over a career, not one innings. Well done to him.

As an Indian fan, I'm a tiny bit sad Rohit's name is now second, but this is good for global cricket. The list shows it's not just the usual suspects – Ireland, Afghanistan are right up there. Makes the sport more interesting!
