Celebrity chef and television personality Pankaj Bhadouria shared an emotional health update following her recent cancer surgery, and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support she received.

The MasterChef winner further in her video urged women to prioritise regular breast cancer screenings and preventive health check-ups.

In a video message shared with her followers, Bhadouria thanked fans, friends and well-wishers from across the country for their prayers and good wishes during her recovery journey.

"Hello everybody, I personally wanted to thank all of you. You have given me so much love and support. People have been reaching out to me from all over. I am so grateful to all of you. Because of your prayers, I am on a road to recovery now. With God's grace, my surgery went very well," she said.

The former 'MasterChef India' winner revealed that her cancer was detected at a very early stage, which helped to improve her chances of recovery and in making the surgery successful.

"I was very fortunate that my cancer was detected at a very early stage. That is why I could recover. That is why my surgery went so well," she shared.

Using her personal experience as a platform for awareness, Bhadouria emphasised on the importance of preventive healthcare and routine medical examinations. She credited a routine health check-up for helping detect the disease before it aggravated.

The chef particularly appealed to women in their 40s and their family members to remain vigilant about breast health.

She also stressed that breast cancer can affect anyone and encouraged women to perform regular self-examinations and seek medical advice whenever necessary.

"My doctors tell me that in India, one out of every 20 women is susceptible to breast cancer. So please take care of yourself. Be aware of yourself. We all think that it won't happen to us, but it can happen to anyone," she said.

Bhadouria concluded her message by once again thanking supporters for their prayers and encouragement, saying she felt "truly grateful" and "indebted" for the love she received during one of the most challenging phases of her life.

A few days ago, Pankaj Bhadouria had revealed that she was detected with breast cancer and recently underwent a surgery which went successful. Post her surgery, her team had updated fans of her being safe, through a social media post.

Very inspiring! But let's be real - most women in small towns don't have access to regular check-ups. The government needs to make mammograms affordable and available in rural areas too. Still, kudos to her for speaking up.

It's great to see a celebrity using her platform for something this important. In the West we talk about breast cancer awareness all the time, but it's good to see similar conversations happening in India now. Wishing her a speedy recovery!

That statistic - one in 20 Indian women - is scary. 😟 We need more awareness drives in local languages. The media should also focus on male breast cancer, which is rare but often ignored. Hope the government takes note.

Such a powerful message! I lost my mother to breast cancer in Canada, and she always said if she'd caught it early things could have been different. This is for every woman out there - please do your self-exams monthly. 🙏

Thank you Pankaj ji for being so open. 🙏 In our society, people still hesitate to talk about cancer. My mother was diagnosed last year and she recovered because we caught it early. Regular check-ups are a must, no matter how busy we are. Wishing you good health!
