'Operation Tral' makers disclose character artiste Murali Sharma is part of film

The makers of director Ratheesh Vega's eagerly awaited pan Indian action thriller 'Operation Tral', featuring Malayalam actor Jayasurya in the lead, have now announced that gifted character artiste, Murali Sharma, is a part of the film's cast.
The makers of the film made this announcement on Murali Sharma's birthday. Sources in the unit of the film say that the actor, who is known for his memorable performances across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, will be seen playing a pivotal role in the film.
Written and directed by Ratheesh Vega, 'Operation Tral' is being produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments.
Mounted on a large scale, 'Operation Tral' is an investigative thriller set against the backdrop of national intelligence operations. Inspired by a notable encounter between Indian armed forces and terrorists in Tral, Jammu & Kashmir, the film combines action, intelligence operations and a strong patriotic narrative.
The film has been shot across multiple locations including Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kulu, Manali, Mussoorie and Ladakh. Produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments, the film is gearing up for a worldwide release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
It may be recalled that actor Jayasurya had, during an earlier interaction, said, "Operation Tral stands out as one of the most exciting and challenging projects in my career. It brings together high-octane action with a powerful narrative rooted in national security. Every sequence is designed to feel real and I'm excited for audiences to experience its massive scale. This film carries a strong message and I hope it resonates with audiences across the country."
"In a world where terror wears many faces, I wanted to explore the silent battles fought in the shadows by those who protect our nation without recognition. This film is a humble attempt to step into the unseen world of intelligence agencies and reflect the quiet strength of those who carry the weight of the nation, often without ever being seen," said director Ratheesh Vega.
The film is being co-produced by Sunimol Joby, with cinematography by Najose. Interestingly, Ratheesh Vega is also composing the music and original score of the film.
The project design is being handled by Noble Jacob, while editing is by Shafeeque V B. Sound mixing is led by M. R. Rajakrishnan, with production design by Sajeesh Thamarassery and art direction by Suneesh Sodharan.
Costume design is jointly handled by Sameera Saneesh and Saritha Jayasurya, while makeup is by Ronex Xavier.

Murali Sharma is seriously underrated. The man can switch between negative and positive roles effortlessly. This is going to be a treat for his fans. Also, the locations mentioned - Ladakh, Manali, Kulu - the visuals are going to be stunning! 😍
As someone who follows Indian cinema from abroad, it's great to see such ambitious projects coming out of the Malayalam film industry. The combination of a national security theme with strong regional talent is what makes Indian cinema so unique. Will definitely watch this when it releases.
Jayasurya is one of the most underrated actors we have. He's done everything from comedy to serious roles with such ease. Pairing him with Murali Sharma in an action thriller sounds promising. I just hope the film delivers on its patriotic narrative without being preachy. Fingers crossed! 🤞
