"No one is nearest or dearest for Govt": RSS' Indresh Kumar expresses trust in probe on Ram Mandir embezzlement case

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Indresh Kumar on Friday backed RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale's statement regarding the alleged Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, asserting that the voice of the Sarkaryavah represents the sentiments of crores of people across the country.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding the alleged financial irregularities, Indresh Kumar urged political leaders to refrain from politicising the matter and expressed full faith in the authorities.
"What RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale said is the voice of lakhs and crores of swayamsevaks of this country, of the crores of people of this country. Politicians of this country should not politicise this. Govt, organisation and Trust will certainly do justice - we must believe this and wait," Kumar told ANI.
Emphasising the impartiality of the Sangh and the investigative process, he added, "There is no one nearest or dearest for Government, organisation and Trust. Sangh has always been known for saying that there should be justice for everyone."
Earlier, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said the theft incident had hurt the sentiments of devotees across the country.
"The unfortunate incident of theft from the donation boxes placed in the Shri Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya has wounded the sentiments and reverence of the entire society and Ram devotees, and we are all hurt by this event," he said.
He noted that the Uttar Pradesh government had constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) at the request of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and initiated legal proceedings based on its recommendations.
"It is essential to ensure that whoever is found guilty in the investigation receives strict punishment," Hosabale said.
Calling the theft incident "highly condemnable", the RSS leader said it should be treated as an exceptional case and that all shortcomings in the temple's management and operations should be addressed with utmost seriousness.
"The entire Hindu society, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, naturally expects the Trust to treat this highly condemnable incident as an extraordinary matter and take effective, serious steps to rectify all shortcomings in management and operations; this is essential to ensure that the faith and reverence of millions of Ram devotees in the Ayodhya temple remain unbroken and steadfast," he added.
Hosabale expressed confidence that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust would continue to strengthen the confidence of devotees through proper financial management, transparent systems and smooth administration.
Meanwhile, RSS leader Indresh also waded into international affairs, strongly condemning China's 'Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law' in Tibet.
The "Ethnic Unity and Progress Law" was originally passed by China's National People's Congress on March 12.
Supporting the Tibetan Government-in-Exile's stance, Kumar termed China's actions in the region as "unconstitutional."
"Any attempts by China to occupy Tibet is inhumane and unconstitutional. Tibet was never a part and parcel of China. Both China and the world know this. So, any attack by China on Tibet's culture, education and character are not appropriate," he stated.
Kumar further called for a diplomatic resolution through dialogue between Beijing and the Tibetan leadership.
"I would like to say that China should speak with Tibetans, its Govt in exile, and resolve the issue. They should not adopt any measure which would be inhumane and unconstitutional," the RSS leader added.
The newly enacted legislation comprises a sweeping 62-article legislative framework that fundamentally codifies forced assimilation across the region. While framed by Beijing as a tool for harmony, it represents a severe escalation of state control, legally mandating the integration of ethnic minority regions into the dominant state apparatus and drawing intense concern from human rights observers.

I appreciate the call for justice and transparency, but I'm skeptical. The RSS and the government are so closely aligned that it's hard to believe this will be a truly independent probe. Time will tell. Also, the Tibet comments are interesting - India should speak up more on human rights globally.
Ram Mandir is the pride of every Hindu. Jo bhi hua, uski saza milni chahiye. But please, don't let this become a political football. Focus on the real issue: the theft and corruption. And yes, China's actions in Tibet are a concern - glad our leaders are calling it out. 🇮🇳
