"No lack of unity within the NDA family": RLM MLA Madhav Anand dismisses speculation over alliance rift

Patna, June 8

Rashtriya Lok Morcha MLA Madhav Anand on Monday dismissed speculations regarding any internal differences within the National Democratic Alliance, asserting that the alliance remains united.

Speaking to ANI, Anand said, "We were, are, and will remain part of the NDA; there is absolutely no lack of unity within the NDA family," emphasising the cohesion of the alliance.

The RLM leader also addressed the absence of party National President Upendra Kushwaha during the recent event, urging people not to draw incorrect conclusions from it.

"Upendra Kushwaha is the National President of our party and has a busy schedule; his absence should not be interpreted in any other way. I belong to the same party and am the leader of the legislative party; we were present there. The nominations were filed in everyone's presence," he stated.

Anand further expressed confidence in the NDA's prospects in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Council elections. "Candidates from all the constituent parties of the NDA have filed their nominations, and we are confident that they will all be elected unopposed. The NDA will become even stronger after this," he added.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Central Election Committee on Friday approved the names of Sheela Pandit, Pawan Singh, Sanjay Mayukh and Anil Kumar Thakur for the biennial Bihar Legislative Council elections.

The Janata Dal (United) also announced its list of candidates for the 2026 Bihar Legislative Council polls. According to the official list, the party has fielded Nishant from Patna, Bharti Mehta from Madhubani and Shivrani Devi Prajapati from West Champaran for the biennial elections.

For the Bihar Legislative Council by-election, JD(U) has nominated Lalan Prasad to contest the vacancy in Sheikhpura.

The Election Commission has scheduled the Bihar Legislative Council by-election, which will be conducted through voting by members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).

It's good that the alliance is projecting a united front. But why do we always see these reassurances right before elections? The real test of unity is in governance, not in press statements. Hope the candidates deliver for Bihar.

Sab kuch political theatre hai. Upendra Kushwaha ko pata hai ki Agar BJP ke saath rehna hai toh line mein rehna padega 😂. Unity ka drama karte rehte hain, but voters ko toh pata hai asli haqeeqat.

I appreciate the confidence in winning unopposed, but democracy needs competition. If all candidates get elected unopposed, it doesn't reflect the will of the people. NDA should focus on development rather than just seat adjustments.

Bihar mein toh koi bhi alliance kare, asli ladai to development ki hai. NDA aur Mahagathbandhan dono hi apna apna political game khel rahe hain. Let's see who actually works for the people instead of just talking unity.

Madhav Anand ka statement dekh ke lag raha hai ki NDA internally stable hai. But Upendra Kushwaha ka absence aur unke busy schedule ka excuse... thoda toh question uthata hai na? Let's hope alliance remains strong for Bihar's progress. 🤞
