No foreign power can stop India's rise: Maha CM
Mumbai, Aug 10
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday asserted that no force can obstruct India's march toward becoming a global superpower.
He said India has emerged as the world's fourth‑largest economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The country is competing globally in Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, while also achieving historic milestones such as landing a spacecraft on the Moon's south pole.
CM Fadnavis was speaking at the 'Tiranga Rally' organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the run‑up to Independence Day. During the event, he delivered a spirited address and sang a patriotic song.
Reflecting on the turnout, he remarked that he could see two oceans, the Indian Ocean in front of him and a vast ocean of the Tricolour created by citizens. He declared that as long as the sun and moon exist, the national flag will remain flying high.
Noting that India now possesses the world's largest youth population, Fadnavis said certain foreign forces fear India's rapid progress and are attempting to meddle in its internal affairs to halt its trajectory.
He warned these external elements that they lack the strength to stop the nation's youth or obstruct India's rise to superpower status.
Emphasising unity above caste, creed and religion, Fadnavis urged citizens to work together over the next two decades to realise PM Modi's vision of a fully developed nation (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.
Drawing a parallel to August 9, 1942, he said that while the historic movement was about 'Quit India' against British rule, today's call is a 'Do or Die' revolution for a developed India, signalling to anti‑India forces to leave.
Extending his greetings for the upcoming Independence Day, Fadnavis called upon citizens to carry the Tricolour forward with a unified resolve for national progress.

The CM's words are inspiring, but I wish we could focus more on grassroots issues like farmer incomes and unemployment rather than just grand speeches. Development should reach every village, not just metros. Still, the patriotic fervor is nice to see.
"Do or Die" for a developed India—what a powerful call! The energy at the Tiranga Rally must have been electric. Two decades of hard work and we'll celebrate Viksit Bharat in 2047. Count me in! 🙌
As an outsider looking in, it's remarkable to see India's technological strides and space achievements. The confidence in the leadership is evident. Wishing India continued success on its global journey.
The reference to the Quit India movement and now 'Quit India for anti-development forces' is a clever twist. But actions speak louder—let's see concrete steps on infrastructure, education, and healthcare. The vision is clear, execution needs to match.
Love the imagery of "two oceans"—the Indian Ocean and the ocean of Tricolours! 🌊🇮🇳 This is what unity looks like. Happy Independence Day in advance to all fellow citizens. Let's keep the flag flying high!
