"New aggression will be met with a crushing response": Iran
Tehran, June 28
Ibrahim al-Fiqar, Official military Spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the operational command center that coordinates the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the regular Iranian army, said that Iran will regulate maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Fiqar, who made a series of posts on X, said that violation of the ceasefire will be met with a crushing response.
"Any new aggression, regardless of its pretext or the scale of its objectives, will be met with a crushing response. Violating the ceasefire constitutes a breach of Article 1 of the Islamabad Understanding and will lead to a complete halt of all tracks. Under the Islamabad understanding, Iran will regulate maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Violent vessels will be dealt with more firmly than before."
He added, "This morning, US enemy forces attacked five Iranian coastal sites under the pretext of intercepting a violating vessel."
He said Iran also targeted US infrastructure in Kuwait and Bahrain.
He said, "We conducted a joint operation with missiles and drones targeting 8 US military sites and infrastructure at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. We are in charge of traffic arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz, and will deal more firmly with violating vessels than before. Any breach of the ceasefire will be met with a harsh response and will lead to the suspension of all understandings."
The Kuwaiti Army said they are confronting hostile missile and drone attacks.
Bahrain's Ministry of Interior stated their alarm siren has been activated.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said America struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites in tit-for-tat action for violating the ceasefire.
Trump threatened to wipe Iran out of existence if the violations continued.
In a post on Truth Social, he said, "United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist! President DJT."

So Iran is now 'regulating' the Strait? Has the UN Security Council approved this? And Trump threatening to 'wipe Iran out'—this is straight out of a schoolyard fight. Lives are at stake, including our sailors and workers in the Gulf. Enough with the macho threats.
I wish our neighboring countries would de-escalate. Kashmir's situation was already tense, and now this. The 'Islamabad Understanding' seems like a joke if both sides can just casually violate it. Hopefully, India can play a mediator role or at least ensure our shipping lanes remain safe.
Iran says US attacked its coastal sites, US says Iran violated ceasefire. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Bahrain are getting bombed. Innocent people will suffer. This is what happens when superpowers use the Middle East as their playground. 😔 Praying for peace.
Honestly, can we just have one month without global tensions spiking? First Ukraine, now this. Petrol prices are going to skyrocket in India again. Families will struggle. Diplomats need to sit down and talk—this 'crushing response' nonsense solves nothing. 😤
