Nepal has come a long way. As a close neighbor, we in India have watched their journey. Honoring martyrs is crucial to remember the price paid for the democracy we often take for granted. Hope the current leadership lives up to their sacrifices.

While it's good to see ceremonies, the real tribute would be building the "state based on governance values and morality" that PM Karki mentioned. Many Nepali friends say corruption is still a big issue. Actions speak louder than wreaths.

Shukra Raj Shastri, Dharma Bhakta Mathema... these names should be remembered. Their fight against the Rana regime mirrors our own freedom struggle against colonial rule. Salute to all martyrs from across the border. Jai Hind.
