Nayanthara on how Geethu Mohandas floored her with her narration of 'Toxic': This film is going to blow your minds!

Bangalore, Aug 10

Actress Nayanthara, who plays a pivotal role in director Geethu Mohandas's eagerly awaited action thriller 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups', recently disclosed how she wasn't initially sure if she should be a part of the film but how she was blown away by Geethu Mohandas's narration and accepted to be a part of it.

.Participating in the trailer launch event of the film which was held recently, Nayanthara, while talking about her bond with director Geethu Mohandas, said, "Geetu and me, we've had a very, very long journey and a beautiful one. We have worked together in a film. Must be 20 years back. That was a different Geetu."

Nayanthara then went on to say that when Geethu Mohandas called her for the film, she wasn't so sure because the film had a lot of actors. "I'm usually a little careful or maybe a little apprehensive about choosing a film where there are a lot of actors. So, when she called me for this film, I wasn't sure," Nayanthara disclosed.

"I said, 'No, I don't think I want to do the film'. So, she asked me some 10 million questions and I said, 'okay, it's fine. You can just come and narrate it to me'," Nayanthara recalled with a smile.

"And from the time, from the moment she narrated it to me, I was like, 'Who is this woman? Who is this director that we have not seen?'. You are going to witness something incredible. You guys (referring to the audiences) are just not ready for it. I'm telling you. You've seen the trailer. I know it's amazing. But you still haven't seen the film. It's going to blow your minds. It's really going to be incredible."

For the unaware, 'Toxic' features Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi in a powerhouse ensemble cast.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has been shot in Kannada and English and has been dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other languages. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, 'Toxic' is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26 this year.

Honestly, the star cast is amazing but I'm a bit concerned about the multiple languages. Kannada and English with dubbing... hope the impact doesn't get lost in translation. But Nayanthara's praise has definitely piqued my curiosity!

Nayanthara saying "this is going to blow your minds" after seeing the trailer already... I trust her instinct. The trailer was absolutely stunning! August 26 can't come soon enough. Ticket booked already! 🎬

Interesting to see such a big ensemble cast - Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara, Tara, Rukmini, Huma all together. This is a clash of titans! 🤯 Nayanthara's initial hesitation shows she's selective, but the fact that she changed her mind after the narration says a lot about Geethu's vision.

Yash from KGF and Nayanthara from the south film industry together! This is a pan-India dream team. The fact that it's written by Yash himself is intriguing. Can't wait to see what they've cooked up! 🔥

Not to be negative, but multi-starrers often don't work well because of ego clashes and uneven screen time. Hope Geethu manages to balance all the big names properly. The trailer was good though, so I'll wait for the reviews before rushing to the theatre.
