"My screen time notifications are horrific to me": Andrew Garfield reveals being addicted to Instagram

Los Angeles, August 22

Hollywood star Andrew Garfield has finally admitted to having a secret Instagram handle!

In a conversation with Variety, the 'Amazing Spider-Man' star shared that he is addicted to social media - something he doesn't appear to be much proud of.

"I'm as addicted as anybody. My screen time notifications are horrific to me. It's like, I've given all of those hours to nothing. It's genuinely enraging because we don't have as much control over these impulses as we should, and it's been by design. It's pretty dark when you look at it," Garfield said.

As shared by the actor, his Instagram feed is filled with content on "weird ceramics" and "lots of Japanese kind of craftspeople."

Garfield, while speaking on his addiction to his mobile phone, further added, "I think we've all had the impulse to smash our phones or throw them into the forest or throw them into the sea because we know it's taking our lives from us in some way. I'm not better than anybody else. I've been told, and I find it to be true, that if you leave your phone in another room, that does a lot of the heavy lifting."

On the work front, Andrew Garfield was recently seen in Enid Blyton's 'The Magic Faraway Tree'.

He and Claire Foy are seen in the characters of Tim Thompson and Polly Thompson, a London-based couple who pack up their lives and their tech-dependent kids and move to a farm in the country. Their youngest kid, Fran, doesn't speak until she comes across a magical tree inhabited by elf-like creatures.
