MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri addresses public grievances at Delhi BJP hearing

As part of the weekly public grievance hearing, BJP's South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Saturday initiated steps to resolve public grievances related to the DDA, various departments of the Central and Delhi governments and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
To facilitate their resolution, he issued 27 direction letters to departments as part of the hearing organised by the Delhi BJP Sahayog Cell, said a party leader.
Bidhuri said that many people came to the public hearing held at the Delhi BJP office with their grievances.
"We listened to every complaint with seriousness and directed the concerned officials to take prompt action for their resolution," he said.
The MP said that a BJP government is a government of the people and its objective is to ensure that every citizen's voice is heard and their grievances are resolved on time. Basic issues related to water, electricity, sanitation and ration will be addressed on priority, he added.
"I thank all the workers and office-bearers who contributed to making this public hearing successful. We will continue to engage directly with the people every week and work towards resolving their concerns," Bidhuri said.
In another development, Delhi BJP president and East Delhi MP Harsh Malhotra expressed grief over the death due to drowning of a young man, Ankit, in a drain near Priyanka Camp in Southeast Delhi.
Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, Malhotra said that the Delhi government and the BJP family stand with Ankit's family in this hour of crisis. He assured the grieving family of compensation and support from the government.
A councillor from Madanpur Khadar West ward, Brahm Singh, and BJP leader Manish Chaudhary, who contested the 2025 Assembly election from the Okhla constituency, reached the bereaved family and assured the family of all possible assistance.

Weekly public grievance hearings are a good initiative, but the real test is whether these complaints get resolved or just collect dust in files. We've seen enough of politicians making promises before elections. Let's see how many of these 27 issues actually get solved in the coming weeks.
Tragic news about Ankit's drowning. 😢 This is a reminder of how dangerous our city's drains can be during monsoon. The compensation is welcome but we need better safety measures and railings near these drains. Condolences to the family, and hope the government takes preventive steps too.
It's encouraging to see MPs doing ground-level work. The Delhi BJP Sahayog Cell seems to be making an effort to bridge the gap between citizens and bureaucracy. Weekly hearings are a practical way to ensure accountability. Hope other MPs follow this example too.
The emphasis on basic issues like water, electricity, and ration is exactly what we need. But why only 27 letters in one hearing? There must be hundreds of pending issues in South Delhi. Let's hope this isn't just a photo-op and they really follow through with the DDA and MCD.
Good to see the MP personally listening to grievances instead of sending juniors. The tragedy of Ankit's death in the drain is deeply saddening - such incidents highlight infrastructure failures. At least the BJP leadership is standing with the family. This is what public service should look like.
