Bhopal, May 26

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday extended heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years of dedicated service to the nation, saying the period had set new benchmarks in development, security, and global leadership.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi - a beacon of hope for the citizens - India has, over the past 12 years, established new benchmarks in development, self-reliance, national security, cultural pride, digital transformation and global leadership," Yadav said in a statement.

The Chief Minister said the 'Digital India' initiative had ensured technology reached even the remotest villages and underprivileged sections.

"Driven by the spirit of Antyodaya, the benefits of various welfare schemes have successfully reached the very last individual," he noted.

Yadav added that the country had taken "numerous historic strides" under PM Modi's 'Nation First' approach.

"Guided by the ethos of 'Nation First' - ranging from the empowerment of the poor, youth, farmers, and Nari Shakti through the 'GYAN' mantra, to securing our borders and achieving decisive results in making India free from Naxalism and terrorism - the nation has taken numerous historic strides," he said.

He further remarked that India is now demonstrating decisive leadership on global platforms.

"Today, India is demonstrating decisive leadership on global platforms, and the world views India as a symbol of trust, development, and glory," Yadav said.

The Chief Minister said PM Modi's visionary leadership is continuously propelling the nation towards the resolve of 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047'.

It was on May 26, 2014, that PM Modi, then the Chief Minister of Gujarat, assumed office as the Prime Minister of India.

He has since led the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the NDA to three successive poll victories, equalling the historic record of the first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Over the last 12 years, the Centre has launched flagship schemes including Digital India, Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat, Make in India, and Ayushman Bharat, while also taking key decisions on national security and foreign policy.

State BJP leaders also marked the day, calling it a milestone in India's development journey.

As a young professional from Bangalore, I've seen firsthand how Jan Dhan accounts and Aadhaar have simplified life. But let's not forget the need for more jobs in Tier-2 cities. Still, PM Modi's global standing gives us pride - we finally have a leader who stands tall on world stage.

Real development is when a farmer in MP gets MSP directly in his account without middlemen. That's happening under Modi. But ground-level corruption in PDS and MNREGA still exists. We need more transparency at block level. Decent progress, but road ahead is long.

Living in the US, I've watched India's rise from afar. The border security and surgical strikes were game-changers for national pride. However, the economic inequality persists. PM Modi's vision for 2047 is ambitious - hope it translates to real jobs for the youth.

From a small town in UP, I can say Swachh Bharat toilets have changed women's lives. But why no mention of GST simplification for small traders? We support Modi ji's leadership, but BJP should listen to middle-class voice on rising prices. Good days are here, but better days needed.

As a student, I've benefited from startup ecosystem and digital payments. Chai pe charcha ho ya global summits - Modi ji has put India on map. But education sector needs more investment - rote learning still dominates. Proud of our progress, but let's keep demanding better!
