MP CM Mohan Yadav to disburse latest 'Ladli Behna Yojana' instalment today

CM Mohan Yadav releases 36th instalment of Ladli Behna Yojana, transferring Rs 1,836 crore to 1.25 crore women in Madhya Pradesh.

"This specific instalment represents a continuation of the state's commitment to women's empowerment - MP CM Mohan Yadav"

Bhopal, May 13

The anticipation for over twelve million women across Madhya Pradesh is reaching its conclusion as Chief Minister Mohan Yadav prepares to release the latest financial aid under the Ladli Behna Yojana on Wednesday.

The state government will execute the transfer of the thirty-sixth instalment of this flagship welfare program, providing a significant boost to the financial security of women throughout the region.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to lead a major event in Gotegaon, located within the Narsinghpur district, where he will personally initiate the digital distribution process.

During this ceremony, the Chief Minister will utilise a single-click digital transaction system to transfer a total sum exceeding Rs 1,836 crore. This massive allocation ensures that 1.25 crore registered beneficiaries receive fifteen hundred rupees each directly into their linked bank accounts.

This specific instalment represents a continuation of the state's commitment to women's empowerment, following successful disbursements in March and February, where over Rs 1836 crore was distributed.

To date, the Ladli Behna Yojana has seen a cumulative disbursement of more than Rs 55,000 crore. This massive scale of financial support highlights the program's role as a cornerstone of social welfare in Madhya Pradesh.

For those wishing to verify their payment, the state has provided a simple digital tracking system. Beneficiaries can visit the official portal at cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in and navigate to the section for application and payment status.

By entering their Samagra ID or registration number and verifying their identity via a mobile one-time password, women can view their account status directly on their screens. This transparent process allows every recipient to confirm that their funds have arrived safely.

As the Chief Minister concludes his visit to Narsinghpur today, millions of households across the state will see the immediate impact of this direct financial assistance, further strengthening the social fabric of the local communities.

Seems like a popular scheme before elections. 1,836 crore is a huge amount. While it helps households, I'm curious about the long-term economic impact. Will this create dependency or truly empower women? Only time will tell.

My mother-in-law is a beneficiary in our village near Indore. She says this money has been a lifesaver for incidental expenses 💯 Earlier, she had to ask my father-in-law for every small thing. Now she can buy her own medicines or give some to grandchildren. Small amounts, big dignity!

Over 55,000 crore spent cumulatively! That's massive. Good that there is a portal to track payments - transparency is key. But we need to ensure the money reaches the most vulnerable, not just those with connections. Hope the grievance redressal system works smoothly. 🤞

Impressive scale. 1.25 crore women is larger than the population of many countries. But I wonder about leakages and corruption. India's welfare schemes have improved with DBT (direct benefit transfer) but still some gaps remain. Good that they provide digital tracking.

Honestly, why not spend this huge amount on education or healthcare infrastructure instead? Direct cash is a temporary relief. Building schools, hospitals, and anganwadis would give permanent benefits. Just my two paise! But I'm glad women are getting some support, at least. 😊
