Good to see our leaders engaging with neighbours. Myanmar is important for our connectivity projects in the Northeast. Hope this visit brings tangible benefits for people in both countries.
While diplomacy is important, I hope our government also keeps a strong focus on the internal situation in Myanmar. Our engagement must be balanced and principled, not just ceremonial.
As someone living in a border state, I appreciate these efforts. Strong ties with Myanmar help curb cross-border insurgency and illegal activities. It's about national security too.
Bodh Gaya is where Buddha attained enlightenment. It's heartening to see our leaders highlight this spiritual connection. It goes beyond politics – it's about our shared civilizational roots.
The 'Neighbourhood First' policy is the right approach. We need stable and cooperative neighbours for our own development. Hope this visit strengthens trade and people-to-people links.
