Rs 18,880 crore for 10 crore farmers—that's roughly Rs 1,888 per farmer. Sounds good on paper, but how many actually get full benefit without middlemen cutting their share? Farmers in my district still complain about Aadhaar seeding issues. Direct cash is nice, but infrastructure support is badly needed.
Good to see governments acting on Direct Benefit Transfer. India's agricultural sector is the backbone—8 lakh farmers in Uttarakhand alone is huge. Does the article mention if hill farmers get additional support? They face different challenges with small landholdings and terrain.
Modi ji ka vision always farmer-friendly. But in Uttarakhand, our annadatas also need better irrigation links. Cash is good, but what about pahadi kheti? Our terraced farms near Chamoli need modern tools, not just money every four months. Let's appreciate the cash, but demand more for hills. 🙏
My father-in-law in Pauri finally got his PM-KISAN payment last week. He said it helps with seed costs for rabi season. The scheme works, but the government should also address rising input costs. Urea prices are too high, and that's a bigger problem for small farmers. Still, thankful for this support!
