My brother is a merchant navy officer. Reading about the tensions there has been so stressful for our entire family. Knowing there's a direct line for help and coordination is a huge relief. Hope they are equipped to act swiftly if any crisis occurs.

Good initiative, but implementation is key. We've seen announcements before. The team must have real authority and resources to cut through red tape during an emergency. The proof will be in how they handle the first real test.

Working in logistics, I see how crucial this region is for shipping lanes. Any disruption affects global supply chains and oil prices. A coordinated response team is essential not just for sailor safety, but for economic stability too. Smart move.

India has one of the largest seafaring communities in the world. It's our duty to protect them. This team should work closely with the Navy and Air Force for possible evacuation scenarios. Hope they have a solid SOP in place. 🙏

The mention of coordinating with RPSL agents is important. Many times, sailors face issues with these agencies regarding contracts or payments, especially during crises. Hope this team can also address those welfare aspects, not just security.
