Reducing duplication of efforts is long overdue. I've heard from friends in ONGC and IOC that they often work on similar projects without even knowing about each other! This coordination could save crores of rupees every year.

Good initiative but let's not forget - while we improve efficiency in oil and gas, we need to accelerate our renewable energy transition too. R&D should also focus on green hydrogen and biofuels from our vast agricultural waste. Balance hai toh future safe hai!

As someone who works in the energy sector, I appreciate this move. Our PSUs have world-class infrastructure but lack the collaborative culture needed for breakthrough innovations. Studying global benchmarks is crucial - Norway's Equinor and Brazil's Petrobras have excellent R&D models we can learn from. Hope MoPNG follows up on this.

A very positive step! But I hope they also involve academic institutions like IITs and IISc in these discussions. Our universities are doing cutting-edge work in catalysis, materials science, and data analytics that can directly benefit the oil and gas sector. Industry-academia partnership is the way forward.

Reducing duplication is good, but I hope they don't end up creating another bureaucratic layer. We need more autonomy for PSU scientists, faster approvals, and better incentives for innovation. The talent is there - we just need to unshackle it! 💡
