Mumbai, April 5

Punjabi actor-singer Sunanda Sharma's recent concert in Ghaziabad didn't go as planned, as an on-stage incident left the singer startled.

Sunanda was performing at Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (RKGIT) when a fan suddenly rushed onto the stage. The singer, known for songs like Jatt Yamla, Jaani Tera Naa, and Pagal Nahi Hona, was interacting with the audience when the incident occurred.

Videos from the event, which are now going viral on social media, show a male fan jumping onto the stage and trying to touch her feet. The sudden move caught Sunanda off guard and created panic among those present at the venue.

Hours after the incident, Sunanda shared a video on Instagram to explain what exactly happened during the performance.

In the video, she said, "Hello everyone, this is Sunanda Sharma. Kal RKGIT, Ghaziabad, college mein thoda sa mishappening ho gayi..."

"Sab dar gaye, main bhi dar gayi. Mera reaction bhi bhot loud tha stage pe jab wo ekdum se aa gaye." Citing security concerns, Sunanda had to quickly leave the stage, noting, "We were not prepared for that," she added.

Sunanda also shared that the college management has taken action against the student involved. However, she requested the authorities to show leniency and forgive him, as she believes there was no wrong intention behind the act.

"Kayi baar kisi ke pyar jatane ka tareeka galat ho jata hai." She added, "I don't think unki intention galat thi," emphasizing that she herself has forgiven them.

Sunanda Sharma is such a class act! 🙏 "Kayi baar kisi ke pyar jatane ka tareeka galat ho jata hai" - so true. The boy probably just got over-excited seeing his favorite singer. Her request for no action shows a big heart. More celebrities should be this understanding.

This is why we can't have nice things. Basic stage security is a must. The college management should be held accountable, not just the student. Glad she's safe, but this could have ended very badly.

As someone who attends a lot of concerts, this is scary. The fan touching her feet shows it was likely a gesture of respect, but rushing the stage is never okay. Her message is very mature - addressing the fear but also showing compassion. Hope the student learns his lesson.

Respect for Sunanda Sharma ji! In our culture, touching feet is a sign of ultimate respect. The boy's method was wrong, but his *bhaav* (intention) was pure. Her forgiveness is in line with our values. However, colleges must ensure better crowd control. Jatt Yamla paaji would not be happy with the security! 😄

I saw the viral video. Her shock was so real. It's a reminder that celebrities are also just people who can get scared. Major props to her for handling it with such grace afterwards and even advocating for the fan. Not many would do that.
