Heartwarming messages. Meghalaya's living root bridges and Manipur's sports spirit are national treasures. Hope the development reaches every corner and benefits the local communities directly. The focus should be on sustainable tourism and preserving the ecology.

Good to see the recognition. But alongside greetings, we need concrete action on connectivity. The Bogibeel Bridge was a start, but air and rail links to the Northeast must improve drastically. Development means better infrastructure, not just tweets.

As someone from Shillong, I appreciate the wishes. Our culture is indeed vibrant! I hope this year brings more opportunities for our youth here, so they don't have to migrate to metros for jobs. Jai Meghalaya!

Visiting Meghalaya was a breathtaking experience. Cherrapunji and the cleanest village, Mawlynnong, are must-sees. It's great that the PM highlights these states. More Indians should travel there to understand and appreciate our country's incredible diversity.

The Act of 1971 was crucial in giving these regions their distinct identity. Respect to the forefathers mentioned by CM Conrad Sangma. True progress means preserving that unique identity while being an integral part of India's growth story. Well said by both leaders.
