As someone from a small town, I know how much this recognition means. It puts Cooch Behar on the map! Hope this encourages more individuals to take up local environmental projects without waiting for government help.

While it's good to highlight such efforts, I hope the recognition translates into actual support. Mr. Das has been bearing costs himself since 2010. Can the local municipality or CSR funds now step in to help scale his excellent river basin project?

Wonderful initiative! Creating small forests is such a practical and beautiful solution for urban greenery. The idea to do it in every river basin is brilliant for water conservation too. More power to him!

Proud moment for Bengal and for India. This is real "Mann ki Baat" – actions speaking louder than words. We need to celebrate our everyday heroes like Benoy Das more often. Jai Hind!

His sustained effort since 2010 is what's most impressive. It's easy to plant trees, but to nurture them for over a decade shows true dedication. Hope schools in Cooch Behar involve students in his future projects for hands-on learning.
