While supporting priests and muezzins is a noble gesture for social harmony, announcing it just before poll dates are declared raises eyebrows. It feels like a clear political move. Why couldn't this have been done earlier?

The focus on cultural boards for specific communities is interesting. Protecting languages and traditions is important, but the real test is whether it translates to better education and job opportunities on the ground. Let's see the implementation.

As an observer, the timing of these announcements is quite strategic. It's a classic example of election-season populism seen in many democracies. The challenge is ensuring these are sustainable policies, not just pre-poll sops.

Rs. 2000 per month for purohits and muezzins is a welcome step. They play a vital role in our social fabric. The inclusive approach, supporting all communities, is the need of the hour for Bengal. Jai Bangla! 🙏

Good to see attention on teachers and non-teaching staff. They are the backbone of our education system. However, the announcement says payments start from March 2026. That's a long wait. Why the delay?
