The incident was reported at approximately 17:45 hours, according to a company statement.

ONGC confirmed that the fire was promptly brought under control and extinguished by its emergency response teams.

All injured personnel are currently under medical care and reported to be in stable condition.

The company emphasised that operations at the offshore installation have been normalised following the incident.

The Mumbai High Asset, located in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Mumbai, is one of ONGC's most significant offshore oil fields and a critical contributor to India's energy production.
