Two decades after 'Tere Naam,' Ravi Kishan still sings praises of superstar Salman Khan. The actor-politician, who shared the screen in the cult classic and even the gym floor with Salman, says his admiration for him has only grown over the years.

Speaking to ANI, the actor shared that he sees Salman as a "very helpful" and kind person. Talking about his personal bond with Salman and how he doesn't care about outside opinions, Ravi Kishan said, "Superb man, what a lovely human being. Salman Khan bahut acche insaan hain. Mere acche dost hain, aur hamara bahut purana sambandh hai. I have only good things to say about him. Main unhe ek acche insaan ke roop mein dekhta hoon, a very helpful person. Ye meri raaye hai; log kya kehte hain ya kya kahenge, I don't care. Woh aur main acche dost hain. Woh hamare senior hain. 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' pehle aa chuki thi. Main 1991 mein aaya tha; woh 1986-87 mein aa chuke the." (He is a very good human being. We share an old bond and friendship. I see him as a kind person. He is very helpful. This is my opinion; I don't care what people say. We are good friends. He is my senior.)

Kishan also recalled their time training together at a gym in Bandra, where he would watch the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor effortlessly power through pull-ups. Sharing details about their workouts and bond, he said: "Ek Bhaiya Gym karke Bandra mein hota tha. We used to work out there. Main unko dekhta tha, woh bahut pull-ups maarte the." Tere Naam is such a cult classic! Pandit Rameshwar and Radhe's friendship was iconic. Good to know the bond continued off-screen. Ravi Kishan seems like a down-to-earth person, and his respect for his senior is very Indian. Wishing him success for his new show on Netflix!

Respectfully, while I appreciate the sentiment, it's a bit difficult to separate the art from the artist sometimes. Salman Khan's films are entertaining, no doubt, but public figures should also be mindful of their influence. That said, Ravi Kishan's praise comes from a personal space, so it's valid for him.

The gym anecdote is so relatable! Imagining them working out together in Bandra in the 90s is a cool slice of Bollywood history. It shows a side of celebrities we rarely see—just two friends pushing each other. More stories like this, please!

Bhaiya Gym in Bandra! That's a throwback. Salman has always been known for his fitness, so it's no surprise he was doing pull-ups effortlessly. Ravi Kishan has had an interesting journey from Bhojpuri cinema to mainstream and now politics. His perspective is always worth hearing.

"Log kya kehte hain" is a powerful line. In our society, we care too much about gossip and public perception. Good on Ravi Kishan for valuing his own experience and friendship over rumours. We could all learn a thing or two about standing by our friends. ❤️
