Good to see Menaka Guruswamy's nomination! We need more strong legal minds in the Rajya Sabha to uphold constitutional values. Her work speaks for itself. Wishing all candidates the best. 🙏

Babul Supriyo jumping from BJP to TMC and now getting a Rajya Sabha ticket... this is exactly what's wrong with our politics. Loyalty to the party flag seems to matter more than loyalty to the people who voted for you.

As an observer, the strategic selection is fascinating. TMC is balancing celebrity appeal (Koel Mallick), administrative experience (Rajeev Kumar), legal expertise (Menaka), and political messaging (Babul). BJP's candidate Rahul Sinha's statement about "purifying Bengal" is quite charged language though.

Rajya Sabha should be for experienced people who can contribute to national debate. Not a retirement home for politicians or a reward for party switching. With due respect to Koel Mallick, what is her qualification for this role besides popularity? We need serious legislators.

The elections are on March 16! Let's see how this plays out. Bengal's political scene is always so dynamic. Hoping whoever gets elected actually raises important issues for the state in Parliament. We need better representation for our problems in Delhi.
