The doors of the world-famous Kedarnath Dham have been officially opened for devotees, accompanied by the chanting of Vedic hymns and traditional rituals. Thousands of pilgrims from across India and around the globe have gathered at the shrine, creating an atmosphere charged with intense spiritual energy and devotion.

As the gates opened, the air was filled with the powerful echoes of "Lord Shiva's" name and the triumphant chants of "Baba Kedar."

The Chairman of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Hemant Dwivedi, urged devotees to visit and seek the blessings of Baba Kedar and Lord Badrinath as the portals of the world-famous Kedarnath Temple open.

Dwivedi stated that all preparations have been completed for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra, which formally commenced with the opening of the shrine doors on April 19.

On crowd management, he said digital systems have been introduced to regulate pilgrim flow.

Om Namah Shivaya! The description of the temple adorned with flowers gives me goosebumps. It's not just a pilgrimage; it's a transformative experience for the soul. I went last year and the energy there is indescribable. All the best to all the devotees traveling this year.

Good to see the administration is prepared with digital systems. My only request is to please ensure these SOPs are followed on the ground. Last time, the queues were chaotic despite online tickets. The "priority for the last devotee" is a noble thought, but execution is key. Hoping for a smoother yatra this season.

I'm visiting from Canada and have always been fascinated by the spiritual heritage of the Himalayas. Reading about the opening rituals is captivating. Planning my visit later this year. Hope the registration process is straightforward for international visitors as well.

This is the real "power center" of India. Not Delhi or Mumbai, but these ancient dhams. The Char Dham Yatra is the backbone of our spiritual tourism. Kudos to the Uttarakhand govt and temple committee for the preparations. May everyone's journey be blessed. Har Har Mahadev!

My parents are elderly and have this as a lifelong dream. The mention of "simple, safe, and accessible darshan" is very reassuring. I hope there are proper facilities and help for senior citizens along the route. Wishing all the sevaks and officials the strength to manage this massive event.
