India's Counter-Terror Op is Answer to Pakistan's "Fake" Kashmir Day: Activist

Kashmiri activist Javed Beigh has labeled Pakistan's annual Kashmir Solidarity Day as a state-sponsored "fake drama." He connected the observance to a recent Indian counter-terrorism operation in Kishtwar that neutralized a suspected Jaish-e-Muhammad operative from Pakistan. Beigh's post detailed the joint operation and referenced a claimed past operation that targeted the terror group's headquarters. He asserted that such ground actions, not symbolic observances, define the reality of the Kashmir issue.

Kashmiri Activist Javed Beigh calls India's counter-terror operation response to Pakistan's 'So-Called Kashmir Solidarity Day'

Kashmiri activist Javed Beigh calls Pakistan's Kashmir Solidarity Day a "fake drama," citing a recent anti-terror operation as India's response.

"fake and fraudulent observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day - Javed Beigh"

Srinagar, February 6

Every year on February 5, Pakistan observes what it calls Kashmir Solidarity Day. Officially, it claims to stand for the rights of Kashmiris.

However, the day is about state-sponsored propaganda, designed to distract from Pakistan's own human rights record, both in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and across regions under its control.

Against this backdrop, Kashmiri activist Javed Beigh, in a post shared on X, described the recent counter-terror operation in Jammu and Kashmir as India's response to what he termed Pakistan's "fake and fraudulent" observance of "Kashmir Solidarity Day."

As cited in Beigh's post, Pakistan marks February 5 every year as "Kashmir Solidarity Day," which he described as a "fake drama." Referring to the same date, Beigh stated that India's response was reflected in the neutralisation of a Pakistani citizen identified as Adil, whom he alleged was affiliated with the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Muhammad, headquartered in Bahawalpur in Pakistan's Punjab province.

According to the post, Adil was neutralised during a joint operation named "Trashi-I", carried out by troops of the Indian Army's CIF Delta, along with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The operation reportedly took place in the Dichhar area of Kishtwar district.

In his post, Beigh alleged that Jaish-e-Muhammad is a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation founded by Maulana Masood Azhar, and claimed that the group has been involved in major terror attacks, including the 2019 Pulwama attack and a recent attack near Delhi's Red Fort. He further stated that Jaish-e-Muhammad is based in Pakistan's southern Punjab region.

The post also referred to what Beigh described as "Operation Sindoor," claiming that India had bombed and completely destroyed the Jaish-e-Muhammad headquarters in Bahawalpur. According to the claims made in the post, several close relatives of Masood Azhar were killed during that operation.

Beigh concluded his post by reiterating that Pakistan's observance of "Kashmir Solidarity Day" is deceptive, asserting that actions on the ground, rather than symbolic observances, reflect the reality of the Kashmir issue.

While I understand the security concerns, I wish the article provided more context about the development work happening in J&K. The focus is always on conflict. Peace and prosperity are the ultimate answers, not just military operations.

Bravo to our security forces! Operation Trashi-I shows we will not tolerate terror, no matter what day Pakistan chooses for its propaganda. Every time they play this 'solidarity' card, our response is on the ground. Jai Hind!

It's refreshing to hear a strong voice from within Kashmir calling out Pakistan's hypocrisy. The people of Kashmir want normal lives, jobs, and education—not this constant cycle of violence and political theatre from across the border.

The mention of 'Operation Sindoor' is interesting. If such actions have indeed degraded terror infrastructure, it's a significant strategic win. However, the article relies heavily on one activist's social media post. More verified reporting would be useful.

As a Kashmiri, I just want to say enough is enough. We are tired of being a pawn in this geopolitical game. Pakistan's fake concern and the resulting violence only hurt ordinary people. Let us live in peace, yaar.
