Karthi, SJ Suryah offer prayers at Tiruchendur temple for 'Sardar 2' success

Actors Karthi and SJ Suryah, along with actress Ashika, visited the Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy Temple and offered prayers for the success of their upcoming film 'Sardar 2', which is scheduled to release on September 10.
The Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy Temple is one of the Six Abodes of Murugan (Arupadai Veedu), a group of six foremost and sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Murugan.
Film personalities and political leaders frequently visit the temple to seek blessings.
During their visit, Karthi, S.J. Suryah and Ashika offered prayers at various shrines, including those of Lord Subramanya Swamy, Valli, Deivayanai, Lord Shanmugar, Lord Perumal, Lord Sathru Samhara Moorthy and Lord Dakshinamurthy.
After offering prayers, the actors stepped out of the temple, where devotees gathered to catch a glimpse of them. The crowd waved at Karthi and S.J. Suryah, who warmly waved back.
As news of their arrival spread, a large number of fans and devotees gathered inside the temple complex, creating a brief bustle in the area.
Meanwhile, the makers of 'Sardar 2' recently unveiled the trailer of the much-awaited sequel at a launch event in Chennai.
'Sardar 2' is the sequel to Sardar, a spy action thriller that featured Karthi in dual roles as a father and son.
In the first film, Rajisha, Raashii Khanna, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Rithvik, Munishkanth, Avinash, Yugi Sethu and Balaji Sakthivel were there.
The sequel is produced by S. Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena. Sardar was an Indian Tamil-language spy action-thriller film directed by P. S. Mithran and was produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under Prince Pictures.
The film starred Karthi in a dual role alongside Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, Laila, Rithvik, Munishkanth, Avinash, Yugi Sethu and Balaji Sakthivel in pivotal roles. The film was a hit at the box office.
