Karisma Kapoor finds positivity 'somewhere over the rainbow'

Mumbai, July 2

Actress Karisma Kapoor took to social media to share a beautiful glimpse of a rainbow.

Taking to Instagram, she posted images, writing, "Somewhere over the rainbow #positivity." The first candid click shows Karisma taking a close-up selfie. Another image shows her capturing a rainbow. The 'Dil To Pagal Hai' actress often shares her photos on social media.

On the work front, Karisma Kapoor was recently seen in the crime thriller "Brown." Speaking about her role, she had mentioned that over her career spanning more than three decades, she had portrayed many strong women. However, she added that her character Rita Brown's strength lay not only in her courage, but also in her fragility and silence.

Karisma said in a statement, "Rita Brown is unlike any character I've played before. She is flawed, vulnerable, and emotionally bruised, yet incredibly resilient in the way she keeps moving forward despite everything life throws at her." She added, "As an actor, that was deeply fulfilling because it pushed me to tap into emotions that are very raw and real. Over the years, I've played many strong women, but Rita's strength lies in her fragility and silence as much as in her courage." "Living with this character stayed with me long after the camera stopped rolling, and I think that's what made the journey so personal and transformative for me."

The series also featured Surya Sharma and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles. Directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Zee Studios, "Brown" was premiered on June 5 on ZEE5.

Karisma Kapoor is currently seen as a judge on the fifth season of the reality show "India's Best Dancer." Sharing her excitement, she had said "Returning to this stage feels like coming home. Every dancer who steps onto this platform brings a piece of their soul and the flavor of our culture, and I am ready to be moved by their passion once again."

Honestly, Karisma Kapoor's career is a textbook example of reinvention. From 90s icon to OTT powerhouse with 'Brown' – she's showing that age is just a number when it comes to talent. Rita Brown character sounds deep, bringing out vulnerability and strength together. Want to watch that series now. Abhinay Deo directed it well from what I've heard.

Eeewww... another selfie? I mean, we get it, you're beautiful and all, but can she post something more meaningful on Instagram? But okay, at least the rainbow photo is nice. 😅 But I respect her work in 'Brown' though – finally Bollywood is giving good roles to actresses over 40. Hope she gets more such meaty roles now instead of just judging dance shows.

'Dil To Pagal Hai' was my childhood. Karisma's energy in that movie was amazing. So nice to see her happy and spreading positivity now. As someone who grew up watching her, it's heartwarming. Plus, her comments on the character Rita Brown show how actors connect with complex roles. The whole 'strength in silence' part is actually very deep – resonates with Indian women in many ways. Proud of her journey!

Somewhere over the rainbow... dreams really come true for those who work hard. Karisma ma'am is a true inspiration. From 'Raja Hindustani' to 'Brown', she has shown that talent combined with dedication can break any barrier. Also appreciate how she's focusing on positivity in her posts. In today's world of negativity, that's refreshing. Keep shining ma'am! ❤️🎉
