Actress Kajol has shared a warm birthday post for veteran actress Dimple Kapadia.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actress called her "evergreen" and praised her timeless charm and personality.

In her message, Kajol expressed admiration for Dimple Kapadia's enduring presence in cinema. Sharing her photo, Kajol wrote, "Wishing the evergreen, gorgeous #Dimplekapadia a fantastic birthday! The photo shows Dimple Kapadia striking a stylish pose in a white coat. She completed her look with a statement neckpiece.

Dimple Kapadia received warm birthday wishes from across social media as she turned 69 on Monday. Among those who greeted the veteran actress, Jackie Shroff shared a heartfelt message, writing, "Happiness Always! #HappyBirthday. He also paired his post with their classic song "Tera Naam Liya," sung by Manhar Udhas and Anuradha Paudwal.

Dimple's granddaughter Naomika Saran also penned a heartfelt birthday wish for her grandmother. Sharing the picture, Rinke Khanna's daughter wrote, "Happy birthday to my greatest inspiration."

Professionally, Dimple Kapadia first stepped into Bollywood with the 1973 blockbuster "Bobby," directed by Raj Kapoor. She starred opposite Rishi Kapoor. The film became a massive success and instantly turned her into a national sensation. Following the success of "Bobby," she married superstar Rajesh Khanna at a young age. After marriage, she took a break from acting to devote herself to family life and to raise her two daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna.

After staying away from the screen for several years, Dimple made a powerful return to films with Ramesh Sippy's directorial "Saagar" in 1985. She went on to build an impressive filmography with notable roles in movies such as "Arjun," "Ram Lakhan," "Krantiveer," "Dil Chahta Hai," "Luck by Chance," "Finding Fanny," "Pathaan," and "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar," among many others.
