Kajol quips 'show the same sympathy to weight as you do to people when they're down in life'
Mumbai, July 2
Bollywood star Kajol yet again has showcased her trademark sense of humour with a witty social media post.
The actress in her latest post joked that people should show the 'same attention, sympathy and empathy to weight as they do to those going through difficult phases in life'.
Taking to her social media account, Kajol shared a close-up selfie of herself wearing a navy blue hoodie and bright red earphones, and making a funny expression.
She captioned the post as, "We normally show attention, sympathy and empathy when people are down in life ... let us pls apply this same theory to weight as well! Thank you from the bottom of my assets."
Just yesterday, on Wednesday morning the actress had taken to her social media account with yet another talking about how those who like her posts are more intelligent than those who don't.
The actress jokingly claimed that those who like her social media posts are "happier, more intelligent and better looking" than those who don't.
Taking to her social media account, the actress wrote, "Those who like my posts are happier, more intelligent and better looking than those who don't; according to a study I made up."
On the work front, Kajol made her acting debut with 'Bekhudi' in 1992 and rose to stardom with blockbuster films such as 'Baazigar', 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Karan Arjun', 'Gupt', 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...', 'Fanaa', 'My Name Is Khan', 'Dilwale', 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' and 'Lust Stories 2'.
Her on-screen pairing with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan is considered to be one of the most iconic reel pairs of Bollywood.
For the uninitiated, Kajol is the daughter of veteran actress Tanuja and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee.

While I appreciate the humor, this feels a bit tone-deaf. Body positivity is important, but comparing weight gain to struggling in life is not ideal. Plus, the 'study I made up' jokes are getting repetitive. She's a great actress, but these posts seem like easy attention-grabbing.
Kajol is the queen of sass! 👑 From 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' to this - she hasn't lost her charm. The "bottom of my assets" line had me in splits. More celebrities should be this real and funny about normal things. She's clearly enjoying life and that's what matters.
I actually think she makes a valid point wrapped in humor. We as a society are quick to judge weight but slow to show empathy for other struggles. She's using her platform to spread a positive message about self-acceptance. And yes, she's still as beautiful as ever! 💪
I miss the old Kajol who focused more on her craft than social media gimmicks. She's a brilliant actress but these self-deprecating posts about liking her posts making people smarter is just cringe. Come on Kajol, you're better than this. Stick to movies, please.
KJo's production PR team working overtime. But honestly, good for her - she's in her 50s and still rocking it. The hoodie and red earphones look is cute. Mujhe toh haas aa gaya (I found it funny). At least she's not posting about politics or religion like some stars. Chill kar yaar! 😄
