J&K L-G Sinha reviews Amarnath Yatra arrangements ahead of July 3 start

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed arrangements at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. The 57-day pilgrimage begins on July 3 from both base camp routes. Sinha emphasized enhanced manpower management and regular public announcements for devotees. The first batch will be flagged off by the L-G on July 2.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday reviewed arrangements at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra beginning on Friday.

L-G Sinha visited the Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu and reviewed arrangements in place for the pilgrims ahead of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.

The Lieutenant Governor took appraisal of logistics, lodging, security arrangements, health facilities, help desks, sanitation, power and water supply, emergency and other essential services and facilities, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free experience for the devotees.

He directed the officials to enhance manpower management to seamlessly cater to the heavy influx of devotees.

He also emphasised regular public announcements at Bhagwati Nagar and Tawi Riverfront to ensure yatris receive essential information on time.

The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with the devotees of Baba Barfani and wished them a safe, peaceful and blessed pilgrimage.

The 57-day long Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will commence on July 3 from the base camp on both the routes and will culminate on August 28.

The first batch of the Yatra will be flagged off by Lieutenant Governor Sinha on July 2 from Yatri Niwas at Jammu's Bhagwati Nagar.

The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied by Nalin Prabhat, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police; S.J.M. Gillani, Special Director General Coordination (Police Headquarters); Ramesh Kumar, Jammu Divisional Commissioner; Bhim Sen Tuti, Jammu Inspector General of Police (IGP); Amol V Homkar, CRPF IGP (Jammu Sector); M. Suleman Choudhary, IGP Traffic; Rakesh Minhas, Jammu Deputy Commissioner; Devansh Yadav, Jammu Municipal Commissioner and senior officials from civil administration, police and security forces.
