Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and the World Peace Center, Jain Acharya Lokesh, along with the Indian Ambassador to Greece and interfaith spiritual leaders, officially launched the global campaign 'We Support Peace' in Athens, the capital of Greece.

The event witnessed participation from a large number of distinguished local citizens.

The campaign was inaugurated during a special gathering held on the occasion of religious renaissance and the Athens Declaration.

Prominent spiritual leaders present included Avadhoota Datta Peethadhipati Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji, Lakshmi Narasimha Peethadhipati Shankaracharya Sachchidananda Saraswati Swamiji, Srisaila Peethadhipati Dr. Channasiddharama Swamiji, Mahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swamiji from the Swaminarayan tradition, Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji, Shri Mahant Gyan Dev Singh Ji of Nirmal Akhada, and Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Jayendra Puri Swamiji of Kailash Ashram.

He further expressed confidence that the 'We Support Peace' campaign, which began at India's first World Peace Center in Gurugram, will now expand into a truly global movement.

With wars raging in Ukraine and Gaza, this campaign is timely. But I hope it's not just another photo-op for diplomats. Where is the concrete action plan? Peace needs more than posters—it needs dialogue, aid, and disarmament. Let's see how 'We Support Peace' translates into real change.

Proud moment for India! 🇮🇳 Acharya Lokesh has been working tirelessly on interfaith harmony for years. The fact that so many prominent Swamijis and spiritual leaders from different sects came together shows unity in diversity. Greece, the birthplace of democracy, is the perfect place for this launch. Let peace prevail! 🕊️

I appreciate the intent, but sometimes these campaigns feel disconnected from ground realities. While spiritual leaders preach peace in Athens, ordinary Indians face economic instability and social tensions at home. Let's also focus on grassroots peacebuilding in Kashmir, Naxal areas, and communal hotspots. Charity begins at home, no?

As a foreigner, this truly reflects Indian soft power at its best. In a world divided by conflict, having a Jain acharya lead a global peace campaign is inspiring. The presence of Indian Ambassador adds diplomatic weight. Hope this grows into something meaningful. Well done!

Beautiful! 🙏 Jain philosophy of Ahimsa is more relevant today than ever. But I wonder—why is the media in India giving this so little coverage? Our own newspapers should be highlighting this on front pages, not burying it inside. Let's amplify the message! #WeSupportPeace
