Respectful tributes are important, but I wish our current political discourse focused more on implementing Shastri ji's ideals rather than just remembering them on anniversaries. Farmers and soldiers still face many challenges.

His death in Tashkent remains one of the biggest mysteries of Indian politics. A man of such humble origins who led us to victory in 1965. Salute to a real hero! 🇮🇳

My grandfather always tells stories about the Green Revolution and how Shastri ji encouraged people to skip a meal a week. That kind of connection with common people is missing today.

It's good to see leaders across parties remembering him. "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" should be beyond politics. We must protect our farmers who feed us and soldiers who guard us. Full stop.

As someone relatively new to learning about Indian history, Shastri's story is incredibly inspiring. Leading a nation through war while maintaining a focus on agricultural growth is remarkable leadership.
