Jabalpur to host exhibition on Modi govt's 12-year achievements, Kargil War victory

A three-day photo exhibition showcasing the Narendra Modi government's 12 years in office and commemorating India's victory in the 1999 Kargil War will be organised in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, from July 25 to 27.
The exhibition, themed "12 Years of Service and Good Governance" and "The Saga of Kargil Victory", is being organised by the Central Bureau of Communication under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with the Jabalpur district administration and Government Mahakoshal Autonomous College.
The exhibition will be held at the Prime Minister's College of Excellence (Government Mahakoshal Autonomous College) and will be inaugurated on July 25 at 12.30 p.m.
According to a statement issued by the Madhya Pradesh government, the exhibition aims to highlight the work undertaken over the past 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the areas of good governance, inclusive development and the vision of building a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
The exhibition will also pay tribute to the Indian Army's victory in the 1999 Kargil War and honour the 557 soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice while defending the nation's territorial integrity, the statement said.
Besides the photo display, the event will feature cultural performances by song and drama troupes, awareness programmes, quizzes and competitions for students and visitors. Prizes will be distributed to the winners of the competitions. The exhibition will remain open to the public free of cost from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. each day from July 25 to 27.
The Madhya Pradesh government said the exhibition has been conceived to create awareness among citizens, particularly the younger generation, about the country's development journey while inspiring them through the courage and sacrifice of the armed forces during the Kargil conflict.
The Central Bureau of Communication has appealed to citizens, students and public representatives to visit the exhibition and participate in the programmes being organised during the three-day event. The exhibition will coincide with Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26 to commemorate India's victory in Operation Vijay and honour the soldiers who fought in the conflict.

Kargil ke shaheedon ko yaad karna zaroori hai. Lekin sach mein, youth ko development ke numbers se zyada ground reality dekhni chahiye. Umeed hai exhibition mein transparent data bhi hoga. Still, good initiative overall.
